Greens 2 and 3 Update
Members agreed at a Special General Meeting of the Club to hand over Green 3 to the Southern Tasmanian Netball Association and we are now reaping the benefits.
Peter Ibbott, John Jeffery, Romun Zapotocky and Pat Zapotocky had a very constructive meeting on Monday 31 August 2021 with the firm putting in the netball courts. We agreed where the fencing should go for the best outcome for our club and provided them with knowledge of stormwater drains, security, taps etc. Speak to any one of Peter, JJ, Romun or Pat when you see them at the Club if you need further information.
Work on this 1st stage of the project could happen within the next month.
The second stage will be to install shade around Green 2 and artificial grass around the green. After speaking with our Greenkeeper we have planned to put in a concrete pad near the water tower so that he will be able to drive the mower and tractor and roller near the green and shovel his loam onto the green with ease without damaging the synthetic surrounds.
Funds for these improvements were made available as part of a Tasmanian Liberal Government election promise.
